We've been working with News International across The Sun, The Times and The Sunday Times (plus sub-brands including The Times Literary Supplement and www.driving.co.uk) since July 2012. We are the lead agency of WPP's Team News – a multi-discipline unit tailored specifically to the needs and structure of News International. This means tighter integration, seamless structure, collaborative thinking and strategy, speed of turnaround and efficiency. As creator and guardian of visual identity and brand guidelines, we develop, create and supply all master templates and ads, then pass these to News International's in-house studio to resize and adapt. Together we produce 1000 pieces of work every month across TV, print, outdoor, radio, digital and social. We've produced seven TV ads in our first seven months of work and have developed and launched an entire new brand positioning for The Sun – 'Get Involved' – which shapes the paper both behaviourally and editorially. Our launch campaign for the paper's 'Big Smile Giveaway' – which we helped devise – generated a 323k sales uplift every day throughout the campaign. We produce, on average, one press campaign every month for The Times/Sunday Times brands, including one-off tactical campaigns, and our campaigns continue to shape perception of News International itself.
